Introduction to Technology

"All screens are not created equal."
NAEYC, pg. 3
In my classroom, technology is never a replacement for instruction. It is my aim to only integrate screens into the classroom when it enhances a lesson, promotes creativity, allows students to explore or explain, or provides a platform for presentation. Using the National Association for the Education of Young Children's (NAEYC) position statement on technology integration as a guide, I work to find the most user friendly platforms for my students to interact with.
Using technology as an active platform empowers students, rather than pacifying them.
